MΟΝΟΙ @ Act

Ο κάνθαρος θα δείξει ένα δείγμα της νέας του παράστασης (σε συμπαραγωγή με τη Βιομηχανική) για εφτά μόνο ημέρες στο act. Η δουλειά αυτή θα παρουσιαστεί, εκτός απροόπτου, στην ολοκληρωμένη της εκδοχή το φθινόπωρο στον ίδιο χώρο.

Είναι η δραματική ιστορία ενός πατέρα και της κόρης του, οι οποίοι ζουν τη σχέση τους με δυσκολία στην Πάτρα των ημερών μας. Η παράσταση θα βασίζεται στο υλικό της μεγαλύτερης παράστασης που θα παρουσιαστεί το φθινόπωρο χωρίς, ωστόσο, να προδίδει τη συνέχεια. 

Ο τίτλος της παράστασης είναι «ΜΟΝΟΙ».

Το κείμενο του έργου έχει προκύψει από την ομαδική δουλειά των Γιάννας Ροϊλού, Τηλέμαχου Τσαρδάκα και Γιώργου Αγγελόπουλου, ο οποίος είναι και ο σκηνοθέτης της παράστασης. Το κείμενο διαμορφώθηκε στην διάρκεια των προβών(και εξελίσσεται ακόμα) και από τους ηθοποιούς της παράστασης ΦάνηΔίπλα και Φένια Σχοινά. O σκηνικός χώρος είναι σε επιμέλεια Γιώργου Μαραζιώτη, οι φωτισμοί της Ευσταθίας Δρακονταειδή και η μουσικη τον B- sides.

Οι παραστάσεις θα δοθούν στο act (Σκάλες Γεροκωστοπούλου 65β) από τη Δευτέρα 25 ως και την Κυριακή 31Μαΐου 2009 στις 21:30.

Η παράσταση θα διαρκεί, περίπου 35 λεπτά και η τιμή του εισιτηρίου θα είναι μόλις 5€. Όσοι παρακολουθήσουν την παράσταση θα μπορούν – κρατώντας το απόκομμα του εισιτηρίου τους – να έχουν κάποια σημαντική έκπτωση στην ολοκληρωμένη παράσταση του φθινοπώρου.

Δεν έκανα παιδιά για να τους αφιερωθώ γιατί δεν βρήκα τον άνθρωπο που θα μπορούσα να φτιάξω μαζί του τη ζωή μου. Έμειναν, λοιπόν, αχρησιμοποίητες μέσα μου και είναι πάντα βιώσιμες, ένα πλήθος από διαθέσεις, κλίσεις, δυνατότητες, που μου δίνουν μια αξία, την οποία ασφαλώς δεν μου επιτρέπει να επικαλεσθώ η σειρά των πράξεών μου.

Mono + A Storm Of Light @ Fuzz, Athens

Mono (Japan) played live in Athens, on Friday 10/4 (@ Fuzz) and the supporting band was A Storm Of Light (U.S.A.), another project of Josh Graham (Neurosis, Red Sparowes etc.). A Storm Of Light played in a doom/post manner, long drawn power chords, full of energy, but still kind of repeating in the end. Nevertheless, it was a clean and solid performance.
Mono appeared on stage after a while, but only to setup their equipment, since the amplifiers and the whole drum set was different. That kept on for a few minutes, and it was a bit tiring in the end. Finally they came back to begin their set. They performed as expected - whis means exceptional - but as their supporters, their performance came to a point where it was repeating itself. And this has nothing to do with the quality of their music, but the high similarity of each track's structure. All in all, it was a good gig.

Είναι εκπληκτική η διείσδυση της παραπληροφόρησης. Δεν μπορείς να εμπιστευτείς φυσικά τίποτα που διαβάζεις, αν πρώτα δεν το ελέγξεις τρεις ή τέσσερις φορές. Ο λόγος για μία δημοσίευση στο troktiko.blogspot.com που θεωρείται έγκυρο κτλ κτλ. Το θέμα (που είναι και μια βλακεία, μιας και δεν έχει ιδιαίτερη ουσία): Αν η λέξη "βία" στον Εθνικό Ύμνο είναι βία ή βιά η βια, λόγω μιας διένεξης στη Βουλή μεταξύ Καρατζαφέρη-Αλαβάνου (διότι ο Αλαβάνος υποστήριξε ότι έχει την έννοια της βίας και όχι της βιασύνης). Το blog λοιπόν, ανέτρεξε στο λεξικό, λες και τα λεξικά αποδίδουν τα νοήματα των ποιημάτων, για να αποδείξει ότι βια (χωρίς τόνο, μιας και όταν ο ύμνος δεν διαβάζεται αλλά τραγουδιέται -ή όπως αλλιώς είναι το σωστό- είναι σαν μονοσύλλαβη λέξη) είναι η βιασύνη (όπως υποστήριξε και ο Καρατζαφέρης στη Βουλή). Φυσικά, με ένα απλό google search, βρίσκουμε απόσπασμα από το αυθεντικό κείμενο (σε σάρωση, όχι δακτυλογραφημένο) που ο τόνος είναι στο "ί", καταρρίπτοντας ακόμα και αυτό το επιχείρημα του blog. Επίσης, η διαφορετική απαγγελία (ή τραγούδι) της λέξης οφείλεται προφανώς σε ολοκλήρωση του μέτρου. Και αν δεν ήταν βία αλλά βια, πέντε στροφές παρακάτω ο Εθνικός Ύμνος αναφέρει τα λαχταριστά σωθικά του εχθρού. Προφανώς, δεν τίθεται θέμα για το ύφος του Εθνικού Ύμνου, μιας και δεν γράφτηκε τώρα αλλά σε άλλη εποχή. Όμως να ξέρεις ότι σε διαβάζει τόσος κόσμος και να μην κάνεις τον κόπο να διασταυρώσεις δύο πράγματα είναι θέμα.

Το ύφος του blog δεν είναι τέτοιο, αλλά έτυχε να πέσω πάνω σ'αυτό και δεν μπορούσα να το περάσω έτσι. Γι'αυτό θα βάλω και κάτι σχετικό-άσχετο παρακάτω:

65daysofstatic gig

I attended the Athens gig of 65daysofstatic yesterday @ Gagarin 205. A solid performance from the Sheffield post-rock/electronica band which really knew their stuff. The drawback was the little playing time (roughly one hour, which means 6-7 tracks),but,nevertheless, it was worth it, if you are into this music (or a fan:)). They performed some new tracks and some really classics from the album 'The Fall Of Math' - 'I Swallowed Hard,Like I Understood', 'Retreat!Retreat!','This Cat is a Landmine'...

65daysofstatic - Live in Athens (4/4/2009) & "Escape From New York"

65daysofstatic will be playing in Athens on April 4 (Gagarin205). A post-rock/experimental/lots-of-other-tags (for me making their own music) band from Sheffield, U.K. They've realeased three full albums so far and a double CD and DVD is coming up on April 20 by the name "Escame From New York".

Cello Powder

A project by Nikos Veliotis to record the entire sonic range of a cello (this means all the playable notes of a cello, including quarter tones, laying between two 'quantized' notes such as C and C#) in drones, for an hour (each note separately), and then combine them all together in a unique audio file.

What's most intriguing is the performance that will be held in Glasgow on March 9. The cello , after the live performance of the project, "will be destroyed (turned into power)" as the info on Nikos Veliotis' website reads, and will be put into 100 jars (250ml each one). The jars will be sold along with the album.

The audio file and the unedited video file of the performance will be available for free download from the website.
