Ο άνθρωπος πίσω από το μούσι, είναι ο άνθρωπος πίσω από αυτήν την "μπασογραμμή" και λέγεται Leland "Lee" Sklar. Το αυθεντικό κομμάτι λέγεται "Stratus" (link εδώ) και βρίσκεται στον δίσκο "Spectrum" του drummer Billy Cobham, πίσω στο 1973. Προφανώς, στο "Safe from Harm" των Massive Attack (από το άλμπουμ "Blue Lines" - και αυτό..πίσω στο 1991) ακούμε την sample-αρισμένη εκδοχή του.

Έτσι, γιατί είναι από τις αγαπημένες μου μπασογραμμές και ήθελα να δώσω το respect στον (κατά πάσα πιθανότητα) δημιουργό της.

Edit: Έχει παίξει και στο "Everything I Am" της Άννας Βίσση (τουλάχιστον έτσι αναφέρει το wiki του). Ελπίζω για βιοποριστικούς λόγους.

"These are my neighbours. My wife and I have two little kids and live in a multi-cultural neighbourhood in downtown Toronto. In the hot summer months all the kids in the neighbourhood play outside together and everyone is out on their porch enjoying each other’s company, telling stories and sharing thoughts. A year or so ago I began inviting some of them over to the house for a casual interview vaguely centered around the subject of happiness. In some cases we never broached the subject directly but none-the-less my friends began to call it my “Happiness Project”.

After each interview I would listen back to the recording for moments that were interesting in both meaning and melody. By meaning I mean the thoughts expressed, by melody I mean the cadence and inflection that give the voice a sing-song quality. It has always been interesting to me how we use sounds to convey concepts. Normally, we don’t pay any attention to the movement of our lips and tounge, and the rising and falling of our voices as we toss our thoughts back and forth to each other. We just talk and listen. The only time we pay attention to these qualities is in song. (Just as when we read we don’t pay attention to the curl and swing of the letters as though they were little drawings.)

Meaning seems to be our hunger but we should still try to taste our food. I wanted to see if I could blur the line between speaking and singing - life and art? - and write music based on these accidental melodies.So I had some musician friends play, as close as they could, these neighbourhood melodies on different instruments (Mrs. Morris on the tenor saxophone, Marisa on the harp, my daughter Ondine on the violin, etc.) and then I arranged them as though they were songs.

All of the melodies on this album are the melodies of every day life."

Ο κάνθαρος θα δείξει ένα δείγμα της νέας του παράστασης (σε συμπαραγωγή με τη Βιομηχανική) για εφτά μόνο ημέρες στο act. Η δουλειά αυτή θα παρουσιαστεί, εκτός απροόπτου, στην ολοκληρωμένη της εκδοχή το φθινόπωρο στον ίδιο χώρο.

Είναι η δραματική ιστορία ενός πατέρα και της κόρης του, οι οποίοι ζουν τη σχέση τους με δυσκολία στην Πάτρα των ημερών μας. Η παράσταση θα βασίζεται στο υλικό της μεγαλύτερης παράστασης που θα παρουσιαστεί το φθινόπωρο χωρίς, ωστόσο, να προδίδει τη συνέχεια.

Ο τίτλος της παράστασης είναι «ΜΟΝΟΙ».

Το κείμενο του έργου έχει προκύψει από την ομαδική δουλειά των Γιάννας Ροϊλού, Τηλέμαχου Τσαρδάκα και Γιώργου Αγγελόπουλου, ο οποίος είναι και ο σκηνοθέτης της παράστασης. Το κείμενο διαμορφώθηκε στην διάρκεια των προβών(και εξελίσσεται ακόμα) και από τους ηθοποιούς της παράστασης ΦάνηΔίπλα και Φένια Σχοινά. O σκηνικός χώρος είναι σε επιμέλεια Γιώργου Μαραζιώτη, οι φωτισμοί της Ευσταθίας Δρακονταειδή και η μουσικη τον B- sides.

Οι παραστάσεις θα δοθούν στο act (Σκάλες Γεροκωστοπούλου 65β) από τη Δευτέρα 25 ως και την Κυριακή 31Μαΐου 2009 στις 21:30.

Η παράσταση θα διαρκεί, περίπου 35 λεπτά και η τιμή του εισιτηρίου θα είναι μόλις 5€. Όσοι παρακολουθήσουν την παράσταση θα μπορούν – κρατώντας το απόκομμα του εισιτηρίου τους – να έχουν κάποια σημαντική έκπτωση στην ολοκληρωμένη παράσταση του φθινοπώρου.

Βέβαια, δεν γνώρισα το μεγάλο έρωτα ή τη μεγάλη φιλία αλλά σ'αυτό φταίει το γεγονός ότι δεν έλαχε να συναντήσω τον άντρα ή τη γυναίκα που να ήταν άξιοι για την αγάπη ή για τη φιλία μου. Δεν έγραψα πολύ καλά βιβλία και γι'αυτό φταίει το ότι δεν είχα πολύ διαθέσιμο ελεύθερο καιρό στη διάθεσή μου. Δεν έκανα παιδιά για να τους αφιερωθώ γιατί δεν βρήκα τον άνθρωπο που θα μπορούσα να φτιάξω μαζί του τη ζωή μου. Έμειναν, λοιπόν, αχρησιμοποίητες μέσα μου και είναι πάντα βιώσιμες, ένα πλήθος από διαθέσεις, κλίσεις, δυνατότητες, που μου δίνουν μια αξία, την οποία ασφαλώς δεν μου επιτρέπει να επικαλεσθώ η σειρά των πράξεών μου.
